Taking over il Lido's old spot, La Scala attempts to fill in its predecessor's shoes with a similarly exquisite menu and an elegant setup. Some of the dishes concocted by Chef Lucio Russo using seasonal ingredients include truffle-roasted Hokkaido Bay scallop with quail egg, crusted lamb chop with balsamic and pistachio reduction, red snapper baked with potato and cherry tomato and Italian beef fillet with porcini mushrooms. The food here is seemingly simple and clean, and uses premium ingredients for mild twists on classic Italian favourites.
