The pan mee here is thicker than usual but don’t let that put you off. Order the dry version and you can tell that the doughiness of the noodles only increases the chewiness to give it a little bit more bite. We can assure you that it doesn’t taste like biting into pieces of flour. Order the set, which comes with a bowl of piping hot soup with vege and meat balls. And there are three types of chilli for you to choose: stir-fried dried chilli flakes, sambal and chili padi. The ultimate comfort food with a kick. A word of caution though: the place is hot and stuffy, so bring lots of tissue to wipe off your sweat.
