Step into Chynna for an authentic Chinese gastronomic experience within grand Shanghainese Tang-style settings. There are four special Chinese New Year menus available – Abundance (RM288nett per person), Prosperity (RM398nett per person), Wealth (RM428nett per person) and Grand Fortune (RM688nett per person, minimum order of five persons) – and notable dishes include braised abalone with sea cucumber, steamed wild grouper fish and ten-grain rice with chicken floss.

For something a little more international, Hilton KL’s all-day dining restaurant Vasco’s is also prepared to usher in a prosperous year. Here is where families can have a casual celebration digging into delicious food in a spacious contemporary eatery. There will be a Chinese New Year Eve dinner on Feb 4 (adults, RM200nett; children, RM100nett) and on the second and third day of Chinese New Year – Feb 5 and 6 – diners can look forward to a special lunch (adults, RM178nett; children, RM89nett) and dinner (adults, RM200nett; children, RM100nett). Opt to pair your meal with a drinks package (RM100nett) which includes soft drinks, juices, bottled Tiger beers and selected red and white wines.

Of course, no Chinese New Year celebration is complete without the quintessential yee sang. This year, Hilton KL is offering five types of yee sang (from RM128nett) – traditional Norwegian salmon; smoky grilled squid tentacle; macadamia nuts and American strawberries; salted egg soft-shell crab and crispy fish skin; and Australian three-head abalone.
