Since it opened, this café has amassed a contingent of loyalists with its flakey (hence the name), soft and freakishly consistent croissants, fresh-baked with French flour and butter. Flakes is known for putting out killer brunches — like the crab scrambled eggs on croissant or the steak croissant served with a side of fries — but don’t leave without trying the sweets: chocolate, matcha, pistachio or one of each will do the trick. \
Complete the happy meal with a coffee, cold-pressed juice or a cooler. Actually, the cooler menu is pretty inventive; think espresso with raspberry, topped with a mousse of gula Melaka, or soda with lime, mint and yuzu, garnished with lemongrass.
