Han feels almost hidden away on the first floor of Menara Hap Seng — but inside, find a cavernous, upscale 4,500 square foot space with heaping plates of very high-end beef, grilled for you at the table. Its best offering is air-flown Australian wagyu striploin with a fat marbling score of 4-5. While that’s always worth the splurge, other not-so-luxuriously-marbled (but cheaper!) beef cuts are ace too: there’s belly, brisket, tongue, and boneless short ribs, marinated or not. For non-beef eaters, spring lamb chops and smoked duck breasts are on the menu, plus sharing items such as cold buckwheat noodles; chicken popcorn; seafood and scallion pancake; and more. Match with beers or soju. There’s also a short list of wines, whiskeys and Japanese saké. |
