[title]This is the year you go all out with your Valentine’s Day plans and take your other half to Marini’s on 57 for a night out on the town. This Italian restaurant, rooftop bar and whisky lounge enjoys prime views on KL’s iconic skyline due to its ideal location on the 57th floor of the third Petronas Tower.
A discerning seven-course Italian dinner will be the highlight of the night (besides that view, of course!) and comprises a wonderful blend of prime ingredients, contemporary Italian cooking and unique flavour combinations. You will begin with a sfizi, which is Italian for ‘whim’ and is their version of an amuse bouche. There are two antipasti courses – asparagus with Sicilian red prawns followed by pan-seared duck liver with port and raisins.
The pasta dish is cannelloni with spinach, truffles and 32-month aged Parmesan. Choose from a Wagyu tenderloin (score 5) served with plums, red beans and jus or char-grilled lobster with onions, cabbage and lemon. A refreshing mango and carrot sorbet follows before the sweet finale of a dessert that celebrates strawberries. There’s also a complimentary surprise as part of the meal, which is yet another reason to celebrate here.
The night shouldn’t end with dinner. Continue the romancing at the Lounge for after-dinner drinks or coffee, and if you’re up for it, the famous rooftop bar is always a good move. Get dressed up, surprise your date and book your spot now for the ultimate Valentine’s dinner.
