Uncle John has cemented his status as the face of home-style Nyonya cooking with the opening of Baba Can Cook’s second outlet in The Intermark. Not to be confused with Limablas on Jalan Mesui, Limabelas is related to Limapulo on Jalan Doraisamy and continues the Nyonya laksa ritual on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Mee siam (served on Tuesdays and Thursdays), cucur udang (subject to availability) and sambal udang petai are still in-house favourites that bring in steady lunchtime crowds. Wash it all down with some homemade Peranakan ginger ale.
