New Chapter sits on a sprawling corner site in Calvary Convention Centre. A bright and minimalist neighbourhood spot with plenty of room to dine in, it comes to us courtesy of a well-oiled café machine from the team behind The Owls Cafe, Owlsome, and Ghostbird Coffee—and it’s taken its tried-and-true formula to New Chapter with great success.
Enter for the much-loved waffles. Waffle batter is made from scratch, toasted, and topped off with artisanal ice cream by Forty Licks and everything from berries and jackfruit to marshmallows, maple syrup, Koko Krunch, and more. For brunch, expect poached eggs with mentaiko hollandaise sauce on English muffins, a hash of pan-fried crispy potatoes, mushroom and spinach, and beef slices on a freshly-baked croissant, slathered with cheese and spicy sauce. Salads and pastas are on the menu. There’s also coffees, matcha lattes, teas and coolers.
