Nippori is a cute, cosy café nestled in a corner in Empire Damansara, serving affordable Japanese set meals, otherwise also known as teishoku. The dishes have a home-cooked quality to them. You choose your main protein – either the popular chicken karaage, chicken katsu with miso glaze, grilled salmon, sea-salt grilled mackerel and the like – and they each come with various accompaniments including rice, salad and fruits.
Besides these classic set meals, you can also opt for donburi, udon and kakigōri shaved ice desserts with flavours such as green tea milk and Milo milk. There are long tables out at the alfresco area as well to accommodate bigger groups. However, with the limited space, the café tends to fill up quickly come mealtimes so reservations are highly recommended.
