Osteria Gamberoni is Daniele Ponzani’s love letter to his home. Inspired by memories of growing up in Rome, weekends spent at his grandmother’s kitchen, the sleek osteria serves up heritage Italian dishes in a sophisticated setting. His love for pasta shines through in the menu. There’s reginette with slow-cooked lamb ragu in a tomato sauce, lightly finished with parmesan. There’s ravioli, filled with fresh ricotta and spinach, arriving in a white truffle sauce with asparagus. There’s spaghetti alla Chitarra, handmade with the stringed instrument it’s named after, and served with sautéed fresh grouper, anchovies, herbs and extra virgin olive oil per Sicilian tradition. All the pasta is made fresh on-site, every day. 

Also on the menu: pizzas, and great, locally-sourced seafood. Go for the Gamberoni Grigliati, a platter of grilled king prawns, fresh fish, and vegetables, seasoned with salmoriglio sauce and a wedge of lemon. As with the food, the wines are Italian.
