Time Out says

If Garage 51's over-the-top milkshakes laden with decadent toppings get you shuddering with delight (or horror), brace yourself for the original freakshakes from Canberra. Pâtissez, home of the freakshakes, has opened doors in Bangsar, and you should make your way there to try these creamy monstrosities.

For now, there are only four types of freakshakes gracing the menu: Muddy Pât (housemade chocolate fudge shake with torched marshmallows), Pretzellâ (nutella shake with salty pretzels), DurianFreâk (durian with salted caramel and white chocolate), and Like â Velvet (a red velvet cake concoction). Priced at RM23 each, these shakes are made for sharing (both price-wise and calories-wise). Taste-wise, these are pretty good shakes. We’d order the Pretzellâ again (smooth, not too sweet, does Nutella justice), but the DurianFreâk is strictly for fans of the durian popcorn snack only.

Should you want to save your arteries, there’s a range of coffees, teas and juices. Apart from its shakes, Pâtissez doesn’t have much to offer by way of dessert, but its café dishes are nicely executed. Pick from an extensive menu of mains, all-day breakfast, burgers and specials. Highlights: roasted mushrooms, poached eggs, marinated feta and smashed avocado on toast, slow-cooked beef with baked eggs and sourdough slices, and the Freâk Burger (beef with smoked chicken bacon jam).
