Japanese joint Sasagawa is the newest restaurant to open at Sheraton Imperial, taking over the space previously occupied by Makishima. Named after Chef Hitoshi Sasagawa, who trained with notable ‘Iron Chef’ challenger chef Tadamichi Ota, Sasagawa is the first Malaysian restaurant by the Toai group from west of Japan. With fresh seafood flown in from Japan four times a week as well as a commitment to tradition and doing things from scratch, Sasagawa is a worthy contender for top Japanese in KL.
