Shinmapo Korean BBQ

Shinmapo, following the success of its 500-strong franchise in Korea, has set up two shops here in Malaysia. The one at The Gardens Mall is the younger one. Its best offering is galmaegi, the premium pork skirt cut between liver and midriff prized due to its small yield of only 200g per full-grown pig. Equal attention is paid to the other cuts, meats and seafood, including pork belly, pork collar, beef bone-in short ribs, chicken, and octopus. Before you go, helpful notes: it’s air-conditioned (yay!); it has private rooms; and the extra-friendly servers will grill your meat for you, unless you prefer to DIY.
