Probably one of the fresher designers around, Teresa Thian (whose label’s name is the Italian translation of hers) crafts beautiful whimsical pieces that are girly in nature and eclectic in spirit. Coming from the established Raffles Design Institute Kuala Lumpur, Teresa started dreaming up the brand while she was still in her junior year at the institute.
Together with her husband, she founded Gallo by Thian in 2006 and started to make available pieces that oozed feminine slouchy chic. Her recent fall/winter collection was drenched in rich jewel tones and featured vintage silhouettes with a modern twist. The label has also showed at Paris Fashion Week for two years now and has stockists in Spain, USA, Singapore and Saudi Arabia.
