From New York to KL, Steve Madden shoes have finally arrived. And to make sure you know, they’ve installed a LED neon sign outside the shop that constantly changes colour. The colours reflect those of the shoes inside which, just in time for the Spring-Summer season, are a riot of colours, print and design. You’ll find platform wedges in blocks of red and pink, oxfords backed with neon soles, and simple sandals in flattering nude and neutral shades.
These are all displayed in a bright white space, punctuated by a somewhat crazy mirror wall made up of multicoloured glass panels, in your face wallpaper, cooler-than-thou lamps designed by Tom Dixon and an overwhelming feeling of hipness. You don’t come to Steve Madden for a subtle shoe; you come to be cheered up and if neon heels and colourful walls aren’t your thing, don’t say we didn’t warn you.
