Happening from October 8 to 11 at Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club (KLGCC), this year's Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia promises to be more than just four days of excellent golf, with exciting events lined up. That's right, this isn't your typical straight-laced golf tournament. Other than seeing international pro-golfers Michelle Wie, Lydia Ko, Cheyenne Woods and many more gracing the fairways, here are some other things to look forward to at this year’s Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia:

KL Food Truck Festival

1. KL Food Truck Festival

Foodies, rejoice. KL's most-loved food trucks will be serving a variety of dishes including burgers, tacos and fried chicken alongside local favourites. Look out for Burger Giler Power, The Malaysian Ninja Truck, Cowboys Truck, Wheeloaf and Thyme Out. Vegetarians can opt for gourmet Western/European dishes by Chef Kenneth Sim; the internationally trained chef will be whipping up dishes like cauliflower and broccoli gratin and ratatouille. Open from 7.30am to 6pm, a day ticket comes with a RM10 food voucher while a weekend pass gets you RM20 worth of food vouchers. All food here will also be capped at RM10, so go ahead and have a feast.
Kids Zone

2. Kids Zone

Make it a family affair and bring the kids to Sime Darby LGPA Malaysia. Located close to all the golf and food action, the Kids Zone has a host of activities for the little ones such as face-painting, Xbox games, and for the golfer-in-training, a kids’ putting green. Children under 12 get free access to the pool with all-day lifeguard supervision.
Celebrity DJ Patricia Knudsen

3. Celebrity DJ Patricia Knudsen

Setting the party atmosphere is Danish-Malaysian DJ Patricia Knudsen, who will spin her tunes at the new courtyard marquee overlooking the players' putting green. The courtyard will also see food stalls serving dishes prepared by KLGCC’s head chef Arnold, making this the ultimate meet-up spot at the event. There will also be a Players Corner where you’ll get to meet the stars of the LPGA Tour.
Golf bargains

4. Golf bargains

We can't resist a good deal and it's more than a bargain at the retail booths. Expect discounts on the latest golf gear and accessories from brands like Nike and MST Golf. You can also check out booths by Konica Minolta, Samsung, One World, Gatorade, Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care, Tourism Malaysia and Astro.
