Marble Hearts

The Actors Studio Seni Theater Rakyat presents ‘Marble Hearts’ in commemoration of William Shakespeare’s 400th death anniversary. In this story, three sisters – Goneril, Regan and Cordelia – must find their own way in life as they watch their ageing and abusive father fall into the realms of insanity. As the play overlaps with the plot of ‘King Lear’ during key moments, ‘Marble Hearts’ shows the three sisters in a new light as they pursue their ambitions, which eventually lead them to self-destruction. This play sees the return of U-En Ng as writer and director of ‘Marble Hearts’ and as well as an allfemale cast of Christina Orow, Marina Tan, Safia Hanifah and Samatha Schubert.
