Time Out says

Come end of April, the longest-running theatre show in the country will stage its final show in Panggung Bandaraya. Catch it before they draw the curtains on Apr 30.

It’s the year 1880, when a mining boom prompts a host of fortune seekers from across Asia to descend upon the junction of two rivers: the erstwhile Sungai Lumpur (now known as Sungai Gombak) and Sungai Kelang. ‘Mud’ revolves around the trials and tribulations of Mamat, Meng and Muthiah, three friends who leave their respective villages in the hope of realising their hopes and dreams in a fledging, modest mining town that we now know as modern Kuala Lumpur.

This musical collaboration between Kuala Lumpur City Hall and Enfiniti, dubbed ‘Our Story of Kuala Lumpur’, promises to be a vibrant showcase of our capital’s rags-to-riches past and our forefathers’ humble beginnings. What they've promised is what they've delivered. If you're one for spontaneity, don't be surprised if the cast members pull you up on stage to join in with the fun and pomp. For KLites, this is one that will make you proud of your state as 'Mud' does an excellent job of revealing the story of Kuala Lumpur in a way that will tug your heartstrings with energetic musical numbers and cheeky, 'only-in-Malaysia' one liners.
