Time Out says

A tale of wanderlust and the restless nature of humanity unfolds in the epic journey of two Malaysians, Raj and Uncle L, both of whom decide to act on their shared dream of visiting America. The former has just been released from confinement in a mental institution in Tanjung Rambutan, a lockdown his family deemed necessary to stifle his desire to travel. The latter leads a colourful life, traipsing across Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands, gambling in Las Vegas and going on wild shenanigans in Bangkok. So when Uncle L starts looking for company for a trip to New York, one can only imagine Raj’s joy. The two then embark for the land of the free, lured by a consuming restlessness that neither understand but are ready to embrace – until tragedy strikes.

Coinciding with Instant Café Theatre Company’s 25th anniversary, this poignant play by the award-winning director, playwright and actor Jo Kukathas, who teams up with Singaporean director Natalie Hennedige of Cake Theatrical Productions, is set to be a humbling tragic-comic showcase.
