38th Bon Odori Festival

Don your yukata with a matching pair of zori and dance around the yagura – a special wooden scaffold erected in the centre of the complex – at the returning Bon Odori festival. A summer celebration to welcome and pay respects to ancestral spirits, the traditional affair is a showcase of Japanese culture, art, music and delicacies.
