Anime Festival Asia 2012

The lengths to which anime fans doll up as their Japanese idols never cease to surprise us. At Anime Festival Asia Malaysia, celebrity/ hardcore cosplayers inhabit the persona of their favourite anime and dress up in their full regalia. You’ll gain access to movie screenings, maid-and-butler café experiences as well as concerts performed by Japanese Anisong J-Pop Acts. Avid shoppers can look forward to original anime merchandise from Akiba Town, featuring some of Japan’s top brands such as Good Smile Company and Bushiroad. Just a heads up, dress to the nines because a special cosplay championship will be held during the festival. The winner will represent Malaysia to compete with the region’s best cosplayers from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines.
