Time Out says

Originating from India, Holi is a Hindu festival celebrating the return of spring, and usually involves people coming together in the street to throw coloured water and powdered dye. For this KL edition by local North Indian community SDS Youth, expect a 3,000-strong crowd and prepare to be awash in various colours (so leave the fancy clothes at home). Pre-registration is required as this year the festival aims to enter the Malaysian Book of Records as the largest Holi celebration. Only colour packets sold at the venue are allowed to be used during the event. Take note that the celebration is held on temple grounds, so dress appropriately (no revealing wear) or be denied entry.
