Claire Organics
Commune also acts as a hub for the creative community, providing a public platform for local artisans to showcase their talents through exhibitions and performances. Artists of all disciplines are welcomed here, with spaces that comfortably accommodate various types of work like musical or manual crafts. Workshops and DIY classes by Claire Organics, HeArt Craft Studio, Yenji Clay Craft and Natural Wellbeing are also held to engage minds and develop skills in various arts like woodworking or calligraphy.
The versatile space at Commune caters for a variety of gatherings, such as official business meetings, discussions or fun events. There’s a huge common area that’s available for rent for any sort of occasion – from school plays and college exhibitions to annual company affairs, music gigs (pictured below) and even small carnivals. Bonus, organisers don’t have to worry about food as catering is available from the surrounding F&B outlets.

For the month of December, Sunway Velocity Mall is the place to be, with the host of exciting events lined up for the whole family. The Christmas Fun Factory: Sweet Escapade – happening now until Jan 1, 2019 – will see musical and dance presentations, kids’ workshops, Santa meet and greets, as well as plenty of booths peddling sweet treats and more. Head upstairs to Commune for Unwrapped 1.0, a series of specially curated workshops where participants can personalise Christmas gifts for friends and family.
At the end of the year, Sunway Velocity Mall is throwing a New Year’s Eve Countdown Party to usher in 2019. It’ll be held on Jalan Peel (in front of the mall) and is open to the public for free! The countdown carnival will start from 12noon and there will be food trucks, games, bazaars and 3D photo booths.
