The park acts as a natural resource conservation centre for the development of botany, horticulture, floriculture, agriculture and other related fields in Malaysia. It essentially functions as both a tourist spot and a research centre. Activities to do include paintball, skytrek, flyfishing and camping while there are also chalets available for lodging.
