We Will Not Be Moved

Gentrification is an issue which has been affecting many modern cities, and KL is no exception. This talk and discussion will be led by Huiying B Chan, a Chinese-American poet and community organizer from New York City who's worked with tenants in fighting against gentrification in Chinatown. He'll talk about the effects of gentrification while also connecting the issue with his studies of the Chinese diaspora and Chinatowns the world over.
