Yasmin Film Fest and Forum

After almost a decade since the late Yasmin Ahmad passed away, the award-winning director, writer and scriptwriter’s work still remains relevant and cherished in the local film industry. To celebrate her genius, the Center for ASEAN and Chinese Screen Studies will be hosting a forum on all things Yasmin: her work and her influence on the current generation of filmmaking. A host of guest speakers have been lined up including notable names such as Yasmin’s sister Datin Orked binti Ahmad, father of Malaysian animation and close friend Hassan Muthalib, actor and former Art Director for Leo Burnett KL Ng Choo Seong (who also played Jason in ‘Sepet’) and more. The forum will be held in Xiamen University Malaysia's lecture hall on A5 G04.
