This exhibition is dedicated to cultural prankster Joshua Compston (1970-1996) who started a gallery in the East End called 'Factual Nonsense' that inevitably played a part in the rise of the area's position in the art world. Compston regulary held alternative collaborative events like a 'Fete Worse than Death', where artists including Tracey Emin, Sarah Lucas, Gavin Turk and Gillian Wearing manned stalls. Curated by Darren Coffield, previously unseen artworks, photographs, letters and extracts form a portrait of Compston's lasting legacy.
