[title]
With a title that takes its cue from Donald Barthelme’s short absurdist story A Shower of Gold – a tale that traces the journey of a struggling sculptor, coerced into appearing on a television game show in order to pay the rent - this exhibition discusses the boundaries of what might be considered ‘sculptural practise’. Working with a host of international artists, Mike Cooter curates not only original works but also loans from a number of public and private collections, including resolved artworks and design objects, as well as proposals and plans.
