James Richards selects from the V-A-C collection

For the final instalment of this series of shows in which an artist has selected from the Moscow-based V-A-C Collection, James Richards has created a new sound work for the lone presentation of Francis Bacon’s ‘Study for a Portrait’, 1953 (pictured). Gallery 7 will become an immersive environment of recorded voices and rhythmic, ambient sounds that enhance the experience of Bacon’s powerful and expressive painting.
