Coinciding with a new publication of essays about the legendary British filmmaker, this exhibition gleans the level of Kubrick’s extraordinary attention to detail to every aspect of filmmaking, in particular that of the fictional spaces he created. Collating archival material, including documents and photographs from the Stanley Kubrick Archive, three filmic environments from three of his iconic films are analysed: the Discovery spaceship from ‘2001: A Space Odyssey’, 1968; The Overlook Hotel from ‘The Shining’, 1980; and Huế City from ‘Full Metal Jacket’, 1987.
