Bowie fans will be pleased to hear that this series of events (bound together under a 'weekender' banner) requires no pre-booking or ticket. Timed to coincide with the fast-selling 'David Bowie Is' exhibition, it encompasses Friday Late: David Bowie is Making a Scene – which explores the star's inspirations and influence on contemporary music, fashion, film and performance – as well as Fashion Styles for the Famous on Saturday – an event for young people that invites visitors to borrow ideas from Bowie's many looks to design an outfit for another music icon. Other events include talks, film screenings, music and workshops. The V&A's open late on Friday but normal museum opening hours apply on Saturday and Sunday. See the V&A website for the full programme.
