Why go?
This huge city farm is one of London's biggest, drawing in south west Londoners with the promise of rolling fields, adventure, and a rather more exotic array of animals than you might expect. Of course, you'll find lovable pigs, goats, chickens, cows, and all the usual farmyard suspects: buy a bag of food to have them literally eating out of your hand. But there's also an indoor reptile centre boasting such oddities as the Thai water dragon, the blue-tongued skink, and the Saharan Uromastyx (nope, that's not a typo): beasties that even the most intrepid animal lover is unlikely to have met with before. If scaly creatures make your legs go all wibbly, there's also a cute line-up of rodents, including Siberian chipmunks and fluffy chincillas.
Unlike most city farms, this park charges an entry fee, which means a visit comes with some kid-pleasing, theme park-style bells and whistles. These include a next level play park, and an indoor soft play complete with tea cup ride.
