This popular Portobello Road basement bar calls itself a tiki bar, but the hilariously dodgy decor resists simple categorisation. It looks like a suburban-American rumpus room circa 1964; even Alan Partridge might find it a bit much. But underneath the thick layer of kitsch is a very good cocktail bar. Staff go to great lengths to make sure you order the right drink for you, and the bartenders know their business. They also spin a great ’60s playlist.

On weekdays, even though there can be sizeable crowds, you’ll be okay without booking. The semi-private room at the back is great for larger groups; the booths near the entrance are cosy, but have cramped leg-room.

absolutely love this place!! The cocktails are wonderful and at around £10 a pop honestly they are some of the beat I've ever had. The music was really great too and had I not been too shy I would've danced ...next time baby!

My only complaint would be the door staff. The man was insisting I wear my jacket before leaving.... What in the ???? I mean if I wish to embrace the cold let me!!!! Apart from that I would happily go back here.. Great spot!!

Cool bar but the most uptight barmen I have ever experienced in the world. And that is sayong something! Spent £100 on a round and was told posit blank I couldn't have lime and salt for my tequila!! They weren't joking! Wtf?

Great vibe, nostalgic decor, cocktails that will make you go whoooosh maaate. This is a great place to hang out.

great staff, i mean you are part of the family, the family that works there for 24/24 hours a day, if you want if not you may enjoy the finest beverages, tropically made with fresh fruit for another refreshing experience, has all the moods you could need, from quiet chill tuesdays to a lit weekend banger with free entry and flexible funky music, rock on guys! You make consumerism amazing.

The venue ! The Staff.. The amazing cocktails !!! The music the fun and of course Sly !!!!!

More bar than club, cosy corners, dim lighting and plenty of nottinghill yuppies shouting at each other across tables - highly recommend the pineapple pina colada cocktails

Great cocktails and fun times guaranteed at Trailer Happiness!  It can be busy, especially on a Friday or Saturday night but tends to be with a 25-35 crowd who are after a few cocktails and a bit of dancing in the corner rather than a big club night! Not worth trekking across London for but if you are in the area then definitely worth a visit!

You are guaranteed fine drinks and the time of your life in this West London institution

I've had some really superb evenings at Trailer -- fantastic drinks, great ambience, delicious food and super friendly staff. Everyone I've taken there has felt the same so I can't be wrong about it!
