The Mitre’s menu focuses on timeless, honest British cooking with global influences, and is the brainchild of head chef Pat Lynch. Expect to find dishes such as Barnsley lamb chop, baby potatoes, peas a la Francaise and salsa verde sitting alongside robata grilled Scottish 10oz 35-day dry-aged sirloin steak (served with watercress, shallot and caper salad) and stone bass, saag aloo, coriander and coconut yoghurt. The pub’s star dish is rabbit pappardelle, with truffle, wild mushrooms and shaved parmesan. Of course, vegetarians and vegans are catered to, and you can tuck into pub staples such as high-end Sunday roasts.
