The dependably distinctive and rewarding Jim Jarmusch returns with a lovely, characteristically episodic fable about the fragile, fruitful and just occasionally fraught relationship between creativity and everyday life. Chronicling a week in the l...

Fabulous large pub tucked away amongst the residential area and away from the Peckham as we know it. The outside terrace is way chilled. Might I add - they have a great selection of rum.

Yeah its patrons are mainly peckhamite trendy folk, but, it's still a pub, and does its job well.  Very much "among the houses" out the way of Peckham's main drag. There's a rectangular room at the back of the pub that lacks a bit of atmosphere but good if you want a bit of private space for birthday drinks or the like.

I can’t work this pub out.  My girl friends love it and my boy friends hate it.  Sister pub of the White Horse there’s no avoiding the similarities.  Both busy places housing the cool Peckham folk.  I mean it is what it is, it’s not your old man’s boozer, it’s a trendy pub for trendy people.  Read what you will into that.

A pretty good pub if you're in the area, I think in recent years far superior pubs have opened or upped their game and the Montpelier has been left somewhat behind... however if you're looking for a good selection of sprits, a normal pubby menu and ok value wise its a nice little spot slightly off the Rye so you can normally get a table.

Theres a good cinema room at the back you can book and they sometimes have screenings at too.

Been here a couple of times. Great selection of beers and draught. We were hoping to eat here last night but arrived too late. The pub has a great atmosphere great for meeting groups of friends for a drink. Prices seemed pretty good too.

Appalling customer service. Unbelievably rude and unapologetic barman when we casually mentioned how long we had been waiting to buy a drink. We had been at the bar at least 15 minutes and had been deliberately ignored by 2 bar staff as people who had arrived after us were served before us. As a great supporter of local businesses, I was extremely disappointed to be treated with such disdain and disrespect. We walked out in disgust and will never return again.

New chef in now and food is amazing. different and creative dishes. great ingredients too. Staff are attentive and friendly. Nice little pub to visit on the weekend too, for a lively evening.

Been there a bunch of times for drinking (great selection of beers and stays open late), and finally went there for their Sunday roast that I'd been recommended and it was brilliant. Friendly staff and generous portions.

Been here a few times, the food is definitely one of the strong points. Good quality ingredients and great presentation. Definitely the liveliest pub in Peckham. Have had a good few nights out on the weekend at the Montpelier.

The new chef is brilliant, we are regulars to the Monty on a sunday for one of their fantastic roasts. Sometimes gets a bit busy around chuck out time from Franks but who can complain when the pub and staff are so good. Just a shame that Peckham is being invaded by people who until recently wouldn't have dared cross the river!

Had an awful meal at this place last night. I was looking forward to some home cooked pub fare but instead got something that resembled a Wetherspoon's meal (definitely microwaved). My boyfriend ordered a burger, medium which had to be sent back as it was practically raw. Staff are unattentive and lacklustre. And the lighting is terrible creating very little atmosphere. A real shame because with a few simple tweaks this pub could be a nice place to go. Sort it out Montpelier!
