12 awesome photos from the ZSL Animal Photography Prize exhibition

Foxes, pigeons, cats, and, er, rats - who says London doesn't have wildlife? Although if you're after something more exotic, London Zoo is full of weird and wonderful creatures - and now they're celebrating critters all over the world with their annual ZSL Animal Photography Prize exhibition. The photograph of a particularly agile fan-throated lizard (above) has been crowned the judges favourite - and quite right too, as it apparently took photographer Pratik Pradhan three years to capture the image the way he wanted.

The winning and shortlisted photographs will be going on display at ZSL London Zoo from today (16 September), but here's a sneak preview of what you can expect to see.
