Independent Haggerston bookshop Burley Fisher Books puts on lovely literary events, but the shop is too small. It has launched a Kickstarter to turn its basement into a proper events space. All the funds raised will go towards renovating the basement and creating a more professional space, where they also plan to host film screenings, catered events, and arts and crafts workshops, as well as allowing locals to hire out the space for their own events. The campaign has so far raised more than £5,000 of its £7,500 target, but there are still 11 days to go. Help them keep reach their goal by the end of the month!
