'Spectre' isn't in cinemas yet, and already talk is turning to who will play James Bond after Daniel Craig. Let's be clear: Craig hasn't hung up his boots just yet. But in an exclusive, wide-ranging interview with Time Out he was happy to embrace the topic. Does he care who plays Bond next? ‘Look, I don’t give a fuck. Good luck to them! All I care is that if I stop, we’ve left it in a good place and people make it better. Make it better, that’s all.’ What if an actor called him and said he (or she) had taken the role? What advice would he have? 'Don’t be shit! Go for it. Embrace it. Some clichéd line like that. But no, just make sure you’re great.' Craig didn't mention any of the actors who have been tipped to take over, including Damian Lewis and Idris Elba. But he did respond to the wild theory that David Beckham might be a future 007. 'Good luck to him! If he doesn't get that football team going in Miami, that's probably a good idea!'

Read our full interview with Daniel Craig – including his thoughts on whether he wants to play Bond again.

'Spectre' opens in UK cinemas on Monday October 26.
