Ding ding – it’s payday! Time to assemble your crew, go out and stay out all night. Here are four opportunities to do just that.

Gospeloke

If you harbour massive ‘Sister Act’ fantasies and long to harness the raw power of a gospel choir, this allows you to do just that. Sing karaoke classics like ‘I Believe I Can Fly’ aided by a full chorus, plus compete for prizes and more at this big singalong night.

Cargo. Thursday.

Elrow: Far West Weekend

Barcelona party crew Elrow have been killing it of late with their high-concept themed London parties, that combine a cargo container’s worth of goofy props and extravagant decor with excellent DJs from the house/techno world. Their latest jaunt – a primer for this year’s Lovebox Festival in July – is a three-night Wild West-themed bonanza with an all-day Sunday bash rounding off the frontier weekend.

Village Underground. Friday-Sunday.

Deep Throat: The Alternative Alternative Miss World

Only in London could there be an alternative to the alternative Miss World. Now in its second year, this Hackney drag ball promises costume changes, celebrity judges and a turn from all-female, all-awesome choir Deep Throat.

Moth Club. Friday.

Prohibition Party

It’s all back to the 1920s for this dapper, Prohibition era-themed party, boasting jazz bands, DJs playing vintage tunes on gramophones, bootleg booze, Charleston dancers, gambling tables, silent-movie screenings and a piano bar. The shindig takes place in the wonderfully grand setting of Bloomsbury Ballroom, so look fabulous for it (think flapper dresses, feathered headbands, tuxedos, top hats and spats).

The Laundry. Saturday.
