Next month the Pride in London Parade will descend on central London for another spectacular celebration of LGBT+ communities. And with 2017 marking 50 years since Parliament voted to decriminalise homosexuality in England and Wales, it’s set to be an extra special one.

This year’s theme is ‘Love Happens Here’, and in order to spread those feelgood vibes, the organisers of the parade are looking for 1,000-plus people to get involved.

Pride in London continues to be run entirely by volunteers. To make it bigger and better as well as continuing to keep it safe and free, stewards and fundraisers are needed across the parade and other spaces.

If you’d like to volunteer, you can sign up via the Pride in London website to receive updates about training sessions later this month. You’ll need to be available on Pride Day itself (Saturday July 8) or for Pride in the Park (Sunday July 9) and be over 18 to get involved.
