ITV, which revealed the figures, described the situation as ‘London’s food hygiene shame’, though shame isn’t the primary emotion you’ll be feeling the morning after eating in some of these places. Just regret and severe abdominal pain. So maybe avoid the gottier eateries of Camden, Ealing, Croydon and (surprisingly) Westminster, but feel free to stuff yourself to the gills in Havering, wherever that is.
