Going to any good festivals this summer? Yeah, Dr. Martens are too.

Here are five UK gatherings where Dr. Martens are celebrating their unrivalled connection to music in the coming months.

Not got any plans yet? Enter our Dr. Martens competition and win two tickets to the excellent Festival Number 6.

Live At Leeds April 25-30

A city festival about encouraging aspiring artists to make new music as much as showcasing it, Live at Leeds includes four days of free talks, expert advice and roundtable sessions before the Saturday climax: entry to gigs at venues all over Leeds with just one wristband. Live acts include Jess Glynne, Ghostpoet and rising local talents.

The Great Escape May 19-21

There’s something for everyone among the 450 artists playing gigs day and night across 35 Brighton venues over one long weekend. You can buy a wristband to see lots of shows or just book individual events – from the inspired desertpunk of Songhoy Blues to Stormy’s neo-grime rap, from art-popper Meilyr Jones and funky indie rockers Teleman.

Camden Rocks June 4

Over 200 bands for £35 in one day – if you’re not into music, on June 4 you’ll have to be somewhere else! Indie-punk trio The Cribs, ex-Libertine Carl Barat and the Jackals, Billy Bragg, Glen Matlock, Penetration and Las Vegas rockers Escape the Fate are all among the highlights.

Rebellion August 4-7

2016 is, of course, the fortieth birthday of British punk, and whether you were there the first time round or you’re a young disciple, you’ll find plenty of original quality among the bill at this Blackpool fest – The Damned, Stiff Little Fingers, Buzzcocks and more.

Festival Number 6 September 1-4

The colourful, other-worldly setting of Portmeirion (see pic above) has, in recent years, become as famous for one of the summer’s best music festivals as it is for ‘The Prisoner’, which was filmed there. Landscaped across four different areas, this year’s vast programme includes Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Hot Chip, Echo and the Bunnymen and Temples.
