It seems London doesn’t need to try too hard to keep those Instagram likes rolling in. It’s topped a list of the UK’s most popular cities captured on the social media platform.
The research from Iconosquare, which tracked all the hashtag mentions of ten UK cities, revealed that our beloved capital has chalked up a whopping 72.5 million mentions since Instagram began – more than ten times the amount of the second most popular city, which was Manchester (6.5m).
Liverpool rounded up the top three with 5.1m mentions, followed by Edinburgh (4.2m) and Brighton (3.4m).
Apparently, the stats give an indication of top holiday destinations, and it’s safe to say London’s got that well and truly covered: no filter required.
