In 'the past', passengers aboard London buses just sat there in total silence, staring out the window. More recently, though, it's all 'Candy Crush'-playing, Evening Standard-reading and pizza-eating.
But now big red double-deckers have got a whole lot funnier. The BlundaBus – which is currently parked in Croydon – is hosting comedy shows on board its decks throughout July. The bus is heading up to Scotland in August as a temporary venue at the Edinburgh Fringe. But before then London comics – including avant garde hero Simon Munnery and leftfield stand-up Stuart Laws – are hopping aboard. It's all run by chaotic (and often sozzled) promoter-comedian Bob Slayer, so expect the booze to be flowing.
