Big gig news incoming! It’s the week after Reading Festival, when loads of huge acts put new shows and tours on sale and spark the first ticket rush of the autumn. St John-at-Hackney Church, December 4

They’re back! After another long, long hiatus and a line-up change, Kele Okereke's emotional post-punks have finally reconvened for their fifth album. This intimate live show in Hackney will be your first chance to hear the band’s new sounds in their home town.

The O2, December 9 and 10

Gone are the banjos, boots and braces – these days Marcus Mumford’s travelling band are marching into Coldplay territory with their big choruses and electronic flourishes. Having headlined both Glastonbury and Reading Festival in the last few years, they know how to put on a show.
