You’ll want to back away from Uber this weekend, as London’s much-loved gin brand Sipsmith is sending a ‘gin cab’ out onto the streets to celebrate World Gin Day (Sat Jun 10) in style. The cab will take to the streets on the most juniper-laden day in the annual events calendar, offering gin deliveries to those who manage to hail it down. But not in the traditional sense.
Punters will have to post on social media tagging @Sipsmith and using the #WorldGinDay hashtag, while explaining why they deserve one of the limited free booze deliveries on offer throughout the day. Prizes – perhaps obviously – include bottles of Sipsmith gin, but also up for grabs are five pairs of tickets to the sold-out World Gin Day party taking place at Juniper Manor, the latest immersive dining experience from secretive supperclub pros Gingerline.
If you win big on the day, the cab team will get in touch to deliver your gin booty in a traditional black cab. Taxi!
