Museum lates normally do exactly what you think they're going to do: they're the museum, but, you know, open late. There's nothing wrong with that, getting to go into museums after hours, with no kids around and a totally relaxed vibe is great. But Tate Modern is taking things to the next level, starting this Friday.

The new Tate Lates feature the usual evening access to their regular shows and installations (including Philippe Parreno's mesmerising Turbine Hall installation), but add to the mix DJ sets by people like Micachu, zine-making workshops, big debates about the museum's collection, loads of 10 minute art talks and – most importantly – two-for-one cocktails, so you can get waaaaavey wid yer gurlfriends.

It's basically a free museum party, and erryone's invited whuuuuuuut! What else are you going to do with your Friday? Drink in a pub? Be a cool cat and drink in a museum instead, daddy-oh. Do people still say daddy-oh? Who cares, we'll see you there.
