Got plans for this evening? Another boring dinner with your regular friends? Ditch those unenlightened fools, and instead head down to our favourite department store for what promises to be a mystifying meal. It's hosted by astrologer to the stars Jayne Wallace – Kimmy K is a fan – and her band of 'Psychic Sisters' in the shoe galleries on the second floor. Throughout the evening guests will be introduced to a range of reading and healing techniques, receive personalised mini crystals and tarot readings, and there'll be a group intuition session and an opportunity to try tasseography (nope, us neither) over pudding.
So far, so confusing. Happily, the one thing that is as clear as crystal is the predictably yummy four-course menu:
Tartar of oyster and tuna in iodised jelly
Seared scallops, braised leeks, apple and tapioca, Keta caviar
Roast beef filet and oxtail ravioli with root vegetable purée symphony or porcini risotto with black truffles and gold leaves
Chocolate sphere filled with ice creams, biscuit crumble, hot caramel sauce
Psychic prowess doesn't come cheap though! Tickets are £70 and include a glass of champagne.
