Today is the last day you can spend all of your old fivers

The new plastic coated fivers have gotten pretty comfortable in our wallets by now since launching last September. But according to the Bank of England we've still got 150 million paper £5 notes in our midst – that's equivalent to three per adult in the UK. But from Saturday they cease to be legal tender. Which means if you’ve still got them lying around you need to splurge them, asap. Either that, or take them to the bank and exchange them for a new note. But if you can’t be arsed with the admin, just use it as an excuse to spend all your fivers in the pub tonight.

Or, alternatively here are the best cheap eats to blow them on.
