Time Out says

David Turner explores the shambles that was the building of Waterloo Station. As a PhD student researching at the University of York for the Institute of Railway Studies & Transport History, and with a book about the history of 'Victorian and Edwardian Railway Travel' under his belt, Turner is more than well equipt to discuss the naming of the platforms (only 10 were named when there were 18), the bizarre three-part-building layout, and the station's necessary renovation in at the turn of the twentieth century.
